My work is primarily driven by a fascination with colour- its cyclical nature allowing a natural evolution from one hue to another. High-energy, visually stimulating colours surround us in the modern world. It is this constant arousal which informs my work.
The most recent pieces have incorporated screen-print with projection. Both aspects of the work have a mutually beneficial relationship; while the print returns the projection to its original richness, the projection offers the print a multidimensional capability, that of sheer impossibility. Installed alongside a static slide-projection onto a painted cube, the two pieces raise questions of form and of colour, and dramatise the moment when orange is no longer recognisable as orange, it has become what is known as yellow.
