My work investigates the history, stakes, boundaries and sub-themes of nomadic and site-responsive art practice, with emphasis on the notion of travelling, specifically walking, as a method of negotiating and analysing site. I use film and sculptural installation to provide the viewer with a physical marker tracing the simultaneously corporeal, yet immaterial act of journeying and the psychological response to that act: memory, displacement, nostalgia.
