I am interested in the theatricality of re-presenting the body and have been exploring the fractured and fragmentary nature of personal identity. The work explores a possible discomfort of living in ones skin through the creation of work with a neurotic content which intends to provoke feelings of desire and revulsion, fear and fascination. I construct objects that are simultaneously visceral and tactile; designed to be attached to a particular part of the body, in which I can transform myself, playing the role of artist, maker and model.
