My work often deals with the kind of subject matter some may consider morbid, bizarre or grotesque, a portion of which comes factual research and observation and some is more fantastical an resides in the world of myth an legend, I feel that my work is about finding my own bridge between the two sides. My work seems to bounce between lighter, more playful imagery and work that has a distinctly darker and brutal voice, but I feel like it is my ever evolving visual language that gives my work a certain coherence and personality.

In terms of the production of my work, I tend to rely on very direct processes mixing drawing, collage and wet media often trying to find the balance between spontaneous, accidental mark making and painstaking levels of detail. This handmade aesthetic is then usually further embellished using digital means such as adding texture or even rougher elements from my personal library of textures and photographs.
