Jade Mahoney

BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Jade Mahoney’s work is distinguished by bold photographs accompanied by texts. She is considered to find natural realism, which is led by her interest in human identities within a society. She investigates into others private lives and is fascinated by patterns of behavior, adapting unusual techniques to gather information from the public.
Her subjects of choice are often messy or chaotic places, where human presence is clear, concentrating on the run down or damaged.
Her execution is often brought together through a narrative. Often using dialogue as a starting point. She is a storyteller of other people’s stories.
All texts and language used in her work have not been edited, in order to portray the reality of the environment documented.
