Karen is an animator and model maker. She enjoys making quirky and slightly sinister characters out of polymer clay, plasticine and other materials. She likes to design and make sets for her scary, little creations to play in and then she brings them to life by animating them using stop motion techniques. She is endlessly fascinated by the process of animating the inanimate. Picture her, with wild hair, trying to make the lightening strike just at the right time, shouting “It’s alive! It’s alive!” and that’s what she looks like when she’s in her studio.
