Kieran Gee-Finch

BA (Hons) Graphic Design

The interaction between typography and three dimensional space has been the main focus of Kierans work over the past year. Using a variety of techniques, including film, motion tracking, 3d modeling and custom typeface design he has explored the typographic role within a sequential series of spaces. This has resulted in a concept film title sequence based on the book ‘UBIK’ by Philip. K. Dick. Running with Ubik’s ascendent theme of deconstruction we see Kieran animate the typography he has created to a point of decontextualisation, where the three dimensional typographic elements become nothing more than simple forms.
