During the final year at camberwell, i have tried to create a healthy balance between commercially viable, live, freelance design work, creating publications and co-curating the degree shows. But I have also kept a steady pace on my personal body of work.

This project is entitled ‘The School Of Chromatics’. It’s main content is a book about the ways in which humans both perceive and use colour. This inspiration for this book were the science experiments we all did at school. I felt I needed to illustrate the fun of these experiments, whilst producing an educational document.

The covers of this book were printed using thermochromic inks which change colour when exposed to heat, including the touch of a human, this encourages people to pick up the book and play with it. Engaging the reader first to then open the pages and read on….
