Under the heading of Formal Abstraction Oliver Chapman’s recent work is a refined study of logic and structure V’s random chance. Initially concerned with the anomaly as a means of evidencing the irregularity in human behaviour, it evolved into an exploration into systems within working process.
His work celebrates mechanical consistency against human irregularity and explores the ways in which both characteristics can manifest themselves in design.
