Emotional Ties. Olivia Boyle’s work focuses on the themes of friendship and experiences shared whilst growing up. Observing the contemporary rites of passage of suburban youth as they strive for independence and freedom, seeking a heady combination of emotional highs, sexual experience without commitment, hedonism and thrills. Olivia’s photographs observe an adolescent longing for recognition and the stimulation of admiration and desire, they seek beauty in the fleeting, the random, the accidental, the authentic.
