Sarah Smith

BA (Hons) Graphic Design

“I do believe that there are some universal cognitive tasks that are deep and profound – indeed, so deep and profound that it is worthwhile to understand them in order to design our displays in accord with those tasks.” – Edward Tufte

Sarah Smith’s work shows the impact nature has on the universe; concepts primarily focused on time and space and how technological and cultural innovations fit on our time line. She prefers to perceive the world in a larger scale rather than in its more measurable form. Her work so far takes the form of print, book making and stop frame animations.

A budding set designer, she hopes to show her work in media and shop windows.
