The primary themes within my work are of nostalgia, colour, pattern and paint as a material. My work is about regenerating black and white photographs of members of my family from when they were younger through paint, collage and colour. I begin by colouring the original photograph in Photoshop, I then sometimes collage patterns from the 1960’s into the images and then paint them in oil on board.
