I am interested in how abstract/figurative painting continues to run through the blood stream of contemporary art and the changing nature of how we view such work as a public. This revolves around the basis that the boundaries between image and materiality are inherently unstable and shifting, ensuring the viewer rather than the author is central in determining meaning.
