The home or rather the idea of home forms an integral part of my practical work and working philosophy. ‘A house constitutes a body of images that give mankind proofs or illusions of stability’. The photograph acts both to subvert and inform us as to how we see our environment. I use this to highlight and reveal aspects of our personal spaces while at the same time trying to display the way in which photographs mislead and confuse us as to our own state of reality, creating work which flirts with the real and surreal properties of photographs.
