My current work has been centred around a study of belief, whether described as religion, spirituality or an undefined faith. This basic and almost universal part of the human psyche, the need to believe. My photographic and video work plays with the boarders of documentary and fine art photography, capturing moments of ‘perfect’ spiritual tranquillity alongside the ‘real’ struggle to concentrate, to keep the meditation going. What I find really interesting, is challenging a camera to capture these moments.
