I make discreet interventions in found and gendered objects. I chose objects that appeared to me to reveal a detritus of irrelevant gender assumption that were left over from the past and might unsettle what they mean now in the everyday.
I’m interested in how what is accepted as normal changes with time, and how these changes can be communicated through quiet subtle patterns on objects and clothes. I am intrigued how we respond to tiny visual clues, even if the response is no longer relevant.
